Extremely rare and fascinating in such an outstanding condition, antique 1700s 18th century Renaissance era, pre-Georgian diamond bracelet. Most likely a Western European Venetian, French, German or Austrian make. The bracelet comprises 13 Dutch rose cut round diamonds and a single larger oval diamond set to top of the clasp. each of the round diamonds measures about 3.5mm in diamter, while the oval gem is 4.5x4mm. Total estimated diamond weight is approximately 1.50 carats. The bracelet is crafted from 15 karat yellow gold and is made up of multiple sections and links alternating between diamond links and four petal flower or clover like floral motifs, finely set in gold filigree. The clasp has an additional gold safety chain attached to both sides. If fully stretched, the bracelet would measure roughly 180mm (a little over 7") and perfectly stands out on any lady's delicate wrist. It is around 7mm wide at its widest points and gross weight of the bracelet is 6.6 grams. The present bracelet is an exceptional find, as jewels from the late Renaissance period of late 17th century and early 18th century are seldomly seen in private collections. Absolutely scarce and rare antique jewelry collector piece and one of the very nice pre Georgian Renaissance era diamond bracelets and jewels.
